Window Seat Dressing
This month's Showcase Special shows how window seats ad charm to any room, while
providing a mini retreat for adults and children of all ages. This window seat
was designed several years after the home was built. Installation of two hardwood
books cases created the depth needed for the window seating space. Finish craftsman
built a cabinet with an easy opening lift top between the book shelves. The cabinets
were installed with file drawer hangers and provided the perfecft hide
away spot for this professionals home office files. To control light and ad drama
to this tidy spot a two layer sheer treatment was used. Only the bottom layer
is functional while the Veranda softens the hard horizontal lines of the. frames
and window seat. Layers of pillows and quilted fabric ad the perfect feminine
touch
